Jena-Claude Van Rijckeghem worked as a translator, a reporter, and a journalist before creating his own film production company "A Private View," in Ghent, where he was born. His company produced, alongside Artemis Productions and Egmont Films, "Man zoekt vrouw" (2007), the last movie of the Belgian director Miel van Hoogenbemt. In 2019, he wrote "Les Souris de Leningrad" (Dupuis; "The Lions of Leningrad," Europe Comics), illustrated by Du Caju.
